|Stars sign up for Father Ted|
Two Irish World Cup stars are to play in a five-a-side game between two islands to decide which is the home of Father Ted.
John Aldridge and Tony Cascarino will play in the crucial match on Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands off County Galway, reports the BBC.
After neighbouring Inis Oirr claimed it should be the real Craggy Island, it was decided a five-a-side football match was the only solution.
The stakes are high, as the losing side will have to make do with the honour of spending the next year representing Rugged Island, home of Father Ted's nemesis Father Dick Byrne.
The match is part of the three day Friends of Ted festival to mark the ninth anniversary of the death of comic Dermot Morgan, the star of the Channel 4 series.
The event has generated so much publicity that Dublin-based bookmaker Paddy Power has even begun taking bets on the outcome of the match.
Inis Oirr are 8/11 favourites while Inis Mor are evens.
